Osteria di San Pietro
Un tempo era l'Osteria delle "vecchine", nomignolo dato alle due sorelle Avoni (Maria e Nina) che insieme al fratello Raffaele "Schicci" per oltre 60 anni hanno condotto l'attività di ristorazione. La famiglia Avoni,in realtà, da quattro generazioni rappresentava tutto per il commercio di San Pietro: sali e tabacchi, poste e telegrafo, bottega e osteria. Quest'ultima era conosciutissima, proprio per la sua unicità: gli antipasti si pagavano a peso, le vecchine ormai stanche e acciaccate si limitavano a cucinare e spettava ai clienti servirsi da soli in cucina, osservati da pigri gattoni e sfacciate galline che banchettavano gli avanzi dentro al locale. Oggi tutto questo non c'è più, ma ne aleggia il ricordo in questo luogo che ha saputo conservare atmosfere e sapori autentici.

It was once the Tavern of the "vecchine", nickname given to the two Avoni sisters (Maria and Nina) who with the brother Raffaele "Schicci" for over 60 years led the restaurant business. The Avoni family, in reality, for four generations represented everything for San Pietro's trade: salt and tobacco, post and telegraph, shop and tavern. The latter was well known, precisely because of its uniqueness: the starters were paid by weight, the now tired and bruised old women were limited to cook and it was up to the customers serve themselves in the kitchen, watched by lazy cats and cheeky hens feasting leftovers into the local. Today all this is gone, but the memory lingers in this place that has managed to preserve atmospheres and authentic flavors.
